If your idea of the perfect holiday is to escape the madding crowd, look no further than the hamlet of Magny, surely the epitome of rural France at its most tranquil. With its 80 or so inhabitants, Magny lies languorously alongside the river Yonne and the typically Burgundian canal du Nivernais. |
| At the village centre stands La Maison en Pierre, a traditional country house, comfortable, beautifully restored and newly furnished throughout. It has a large and generously equipped kitchen, sitting room with French satellite TV, three double bedrooms (two with twin beds) and a grenier sleeping area containing two new double futons. Ideal for a large family or two small families sharing. It's also ideal for two, three or four people who simply want plenty of space.
